Ashley Lindsey is an award-winning director, choreographer, and producer working between Los Angeles and New York City, creating movement-forward work for the screen, stage, and global brands. With over two decades of experience, he brings a refined perspective, an intentional approach, and a natural instinct for movement and staging, to deliver work that is precise in its craft, cinematic in its sensibility, and built to resonate.
Ashley's recent directing and choreography projects include the dance films EN/ORDER, Dwelling, and The Way Back, along with commercial film and print projects including movement direction for supermodel Miranda Kerr in a Procter & Gamble campaign (Day O Productions), Epic Games' Fortnite, the print campaigns "After the Afters" and "Back to Cool," and branded content for T'Sphere Athletics.
His work for dance companies includes commissions for Charlotte Ballet II (in collaboration with the Smithsonian Institution), Limón II, Chapman University, the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Flight Path Dance Project, the University of California, Santa Barbara, and Orange County School of the Arts. His work has been presented at Peridance's Salvatore Capezio Theater, the Capezio A.C.E. Awards, the White Wave International Dance Festival, the Reverb International Dance Festival, and on stages across Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic.
As a filmmaker, his films have screened at festivals including Dance Camera West, the BronzeLens Film Festival, Dance Camera North, the LA Dance Film Festival, the 4D Film Festival, and ADF's Movies by Movers, with features in Dance Magazine.
Drawing from his conservatory training at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, a performing career with the world-renowned Limón Dance Company and the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company, and the commercial industry, he brings a deeply informed and intentional perspective to every project.
