Ashley Lindsey is a Los Angeles–based choreographer and movement director. He is known for his keen vision, versatility, and swift creative instincts. With more than two decades of industry experience spanning stage, screen, and branded content, he delivers bold, visually compelling work that connects and commands attention across a wide range of creative mediums.
Latest projects includes choreographing and directing the dance films DWELLING, NEXT, The Way Back, and Like Sugar , projects that reflect his ability to fuse cinematic vision with dynamic physical storytelling. As a movement director, he partners with directors, photographers, and brands to sharpen and elevate creative concepts. Recent campaigns include commercials and print ads for P&G Bold -Japan featuring Miranda Kerr, T-Sphere Athletics, Vellum & Vibe Shoes, and Kerry Backpack’s campaign, For The Cool Kids.
Ashley’s choreography has been commissioned by notable dance companies and universities, including Charlotte Ballet II (in collaboration with the Smithsonian Institution), Limón II, Flight Path Dance Project, Chapman University, and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Additional credits include Greensboro Opera's Porgy and Bess, featuring Grammy Award winner Rhiannon Giddens .Associate choreographer for Royal Family Theater Company, Nobody Suspects a Butterfly with featuring Anthony Rapp.
He co-founded GXA Creative, a bicoastal choreography and creative direction team, with longtime collaborator Grady Bowman. Together, they craft innovative, story-driven dance films that have been official selections at leading festivals including Dance Camera West, BronzeLens, and the LA Dance Film Festival. Their work has been featured by Dance Magazine and highlighted on DanceFilmmaking.com.
Drawing from his conservatory training at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and a performing career with The Limón Dance Company, Lar Lubovitch Dance Company, and commercial projects for Target, ESPN, and Miller Lite, as well as New York Fashion Week. Ashley has built a career crafting bold, visually striking work for both stage and screen.
